Chennai Super Kings Retains IPL Crown | Chennai Wins IPL 2011 | IPL 4 final




Mahendra Singh Dhoni's magical captaincy and great performance of opening batsmens Murali Vijay and Michael Hussey helped Chennai Super Kings to retain their IPL Crown. Murali Vijay played a great innings of 95 runs from 52 balls which included 6 sixes and 4 fours. Michael Hussey and Murali Vijay played a record partnership of 159 runs. With these runs Chennai Super Kings made a total of 205 runs after loosing 5 wickets. Royal Challengers Bangalore needed a superb innings from Chris Gayle to win this match but all this was over on 4th ball of 1st over. Chris Gayle got out on duck. Then Chennai Super Kings was heavy on Royal Challengers Bangalore. Chennai allowed them to make only 147 runs after loosing 8 wickets. From Bangalore side maximum runs were scored by Sourabh Tiwari 42 not out. For Chennai Super Kings Ashwin took 3 wickets while Jakati took 2 wickets. Chennai was successful in retaining their IPL Crown. In IPL 2010 they defeated Mumbai Indians to take their first IPL trophy after this they also become champion of Champions League. This year they were undefeated on their home Ground - M.A.Chidambram Stadium. Bangalore was 1st runner up again. Before this Bangalore lost their match in IPL 2009 final versus Deccan Chargers in South Africa.
