Season 7 of Indian Premier League (IPL 2014) will offer a total prize money of Rs. 30 crore. The Winning team of IPL gets prize money of Rs. 13 crores.

• Fourth place: Rs.4 crores
• No prize money for remaining teams

It must be noted that IPL rules mandate that half of the prize money must be distributed among the players

Gambhir hopeful to win IPL 2012 final

Kolkata Knight Riders captain Gautam Gambhir, conceding that the Chennai Super Kings will enjoy the home advantage in the Indian Premier League final here on Sunday, backed himself and his team to win their maiden trophy.

Gambhir, playing in his first IPL final like his team, asserted that the least they could do was to win it for the fans.

"You do not walk on to the field to play as an individual and we play for Kolkata's people who have been a fantastic support to our team. When we walk tomorrow we will give our hundred percent."

The Kolkata Knight Riders made their first ever entry into the finals as they overcame Delhi Daredevils by 18 runs.

 Kolkata Knight Riders booked their place in the Indian Premier League 2012 final as they produced a strong performance to beat Delhi Daredevils by 18 runs in the qualifier in Pune.

Yusuf Pathan's late blast of 40 not out helped them accelerate to a score of 162 for four and Delhi closed on 144 for eight in reply, unable to pick up the pace when it was required.

Off-spinner Sunil Narine and fast bowler Jacques Kallis both returned figures of two for 24 and there was a wicket for each of the six bowlers used.
